Darius Rucker released on bond after arrest in Tennessee Blaze Media

Music star Darius Rucker arrested in Tennessee on misdemeanor charges, released on bail, cooperating with authorities, according to his attorney.

Darius Rucker, a music icon known for his success with both the rock band Hootie & the Blowfish and as a solo country artist, found himself in a legal situation in Tennessee last Thursday.

According to attorney Mark Puryear, Rucker is cooperating fully with authorities in relation to misdemeanor charges, as reported by Fox News. The charges were filed by the Franklin Police Department, as reported by The Post and Courier.

Rucker was arrested on two counts of simple possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance and one count of violating state vehicle registration law, according to People, citing the Williamson County Sheriff's Office. The 57-year-old celebrity was released on $10,500 bond.

In the past, Rucker has spoken about other country artists he admires, such as Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, and Tim McGraw. He has expressed admiration for their humility and longevity in the industry, as reported by Variety.

Rucker has also emphasized the importance of finding the best songs and taking his time to make the records he wants to make. This dedication to his craft has been evident in his recent achievement of receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
