Threes We See You network returns Chelsea FC partnership

We See You network returns in 2024, celebrating and connecting women in sports, with opportunities for mentorship and recognition.

Three has recently announced the return of the We See You network in 2024, with the goal of promoting recognition for women in sports. This platform, which was launched last year in partnership with Chelsea FC, aims to celebrate and connect unstoppable women in the sport. Up to 20 Irish participants will have the opportunity to make the trip to Stamford Bridge in 2023, including club members from Bohemian FC and Shelbourne FC, as well as local teams such as Maynooth Town, Ashbourne United, and Lough Derg FC.

This year, Three is calling on football fans everywhere to recognize and nominate influential women to be a part of the 2024 community, across three categories - Passionate Players, Community Champions, and Media Masterminds. Nominees will have the chance to connect and share insights and support with a wider network of experts, as well as the opportunity to take part in extraordinary opportunities including mentoring programs, networking events, and specialist training.

Last year's 'WeSeeYou Network' received over 800 nominations before the finalists were chosen - Annabelle Gray (Passionate Player), Varsha Bailey-Gunputh (Committed Coach), and Febimara Sey (Business of Sport) - and rewarded with one-on-one mentorships with Chelsea Women's players, Eni Aluko as well as Chelsea Women's coach, Emma Hayes.

To celebrate the launch, Dame Carol Ann Duffy DBE FRSL, the first-ever female Poet Laureate, has commemorated women's football in a rallying 'Team Talk'-inspired poem commissioned by Three, Chelsea FC's Official Mobile Network Partner. The poem, which marks her first in five years, is brought to life through a wonderfully moving video featuring female football role models Fran Kirby, Maren Mjelde, Sophie Ingle, Eni Aluko as well as nominees and mentors from the first season of the 'WeSeeYou Network'. The video can be viewed on Three's social media channels - @Three Ireland.

Aislinn O'Connor, Director of Marketing at Three UK and Three Ireland, expressed the company's passion for shining a light on amazing talent and providing women with opportunities to reach their full potential. She stated that they are proud to build on the connections made last year, creating a bigger 'WeSeeYou Network' community and platform which aims to promote accessibility and growth across all areas of women's sport.

Zarah Al-Kudcy, Chelsea FC Women's Commercial Director, also expressed her excitement about Three's initiative, stating that it is a fantastic platform that supports and recognizes the amazing things that women are doing in their sporting communities. She looks forward to reading some of the inspiring stories that women have to share.

In conclusion, the return of the We See You network in 2024 is a significant step towards promoting recognition for women in sports, providing opportunities for growth and support, and celebrating the achievements of women in the sport. With the involvement of influential figures such as Dame Carol Ann Duffy and the support of organizations like Chelsea FC, the initiative is set to make a positive impact on the world of women's sports.
