BNBR Subsidiary 3D Printing Construction Technology

Bakrie & Brothers CEO Anindya Bakrie reports business achievements including investment in 3D concrete printing and rooftop solar power plants.

Anindya Novyan Bakrie, the President Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bakrie & Brothers (BNBR), recently shared some impressive business performance achievements from BNBR's subsidiaries in various industrial sectors.

In the environmentally friendly building construction industry, Bakrie announced that BNBR, through Modula Sustainability Indonesia (Modula), is in the process of making significant investments. These investments are being channeled through BNBR's subsidiary in the construction sector, specifically in the 3-dimensional printing construction technology subsector, also known as 3D concrete printing (3DCP).

Bakrie revealed that the investment, made in collaboration with COBOD International, will result in the production of 3-dimensional printed houses by the second quarter of 2024. He stated, "It's expected that in January 2024, Modula will bring in a machine with 3D printing technology and start building sample houses in the second quarter of 2024." The partnership between Modula and COBOD will lead to the establishment of a company called Modula Tiga Dimensi, which will be responsible for marketing and market development in Indonesia, as well as all business activities related to 3DCP technology.

In the new renewable energy (EBT) industry, another BNBR business unit, Helio Synar Energi, has successfully installed a rooftop solar power plant (PLTS) facility at the Braja Mukti Cakra (BMC) factory in Bekasi, West Java. Bakrie highlighted that the rooftop solar power plant, with a capacity of 317.7 kW, is capable of producing up to 434 MWh of electrical energy per year. He also estimated that the total CO2 sequestered per year from this rooftop solar power plant is expected to reach 289.62 tons.

Furthermore, Bakrie mentioned that after BMC, Helio will proceed to build rooftop solar power plants in other factories and operational facilities within the Bakrie Group, with even larger capacities.

These achievements demonstrate BNBR's commitment to innovation and sustainability in various industrial sectors, paving the way for a more environmentally friendly and technologically advanced future.
