Theresa, 70, wears custom diamond wedding ring after Gerry, 72, files for divorce just three months post-televised marriage.

On Friday, April 12, Theresa, a 70-year-old woman, was seen wearing her custom wedding ring adorned with 18 round brilliant cut diamonds. This came shortly after her husband, Gerry, aged 72, filed for divorce just three months after their televised wedding.

During an appearance on Good Morning America earlier that day, Theresa mentioned to journalist Juju Chang that she would eventually have to return the jewelry as per their agreement with ABC. The couple explained that despite their love for each other, the main reason for their breakup was their long-distance living situation.

Gerry shared on the show, "Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations. We've closely examined our living arrangements and mutually concluded that it's time to end our marriage." He further expressed, "The most striking aspect of our conversations has been our dedication to our families. We both feel that living apart is the best decision for our individual happiness."

Turner filed for divorce in his hometown of Petersburg, Indiana, citing the "irretrievable breakdown" of their marriage as the reason for the split. They have an existing prenuptial agreement in place.

Although the couple never lived together under the same roof, they had expressed their dream of doing so in South Carolina. Gerry mentioned in an interview that fate seemed to have played a role in their potential move to South Carolina, as both of them had connections to the area through their families.

Theresa also shared her vision of purchasing a large home in the future where their adult children and grandchildren could visit comfortably.

Gerry and Theresa's love story began on the first season of The Golden Bachelor, culminating in their engagement during the show's finale episode in November 2023. They got married on January 4, 2024, in a ceremony broadcasted by ABC.

Both Gerry and Theresa had been previously married, with Gerry being married to his high school sweetheart for 43 years until her passing in 2017, and Theresa being married to her high school boyfriend for 42 years until his death in 2014.
