Formula One and football fans were left in stitches during the Barcelona vs PSG Champions League tie on Wednesday night. The excitement continued after Manchester City and Arsenal played their part in two thrilling draws on Tuesday night against Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. All eyes were on the second night of quarter-final first leg action, with sporting stars like former Barcelona and PSG icon Ronaldinho in attendance, trying to enjoy the action of his two former clubs.

As TNT Sports cameras tried to capture Ronaldinho in the crowd, the view was continuously blocked by F1 driver and PSG fan Pierre Gasly, who was seated alongside his girlfriend Francisca Gomes just a row in front of the Brazilian legend. Fans on social media found the unexpected meeting between the two stars amusing, especially when the commentators seemed to not recognize Gasly. The situation led to jokes about Gasly photobombing Ronaldinho and the reporters not realizing the F1 driver was in their midst.

Gasly, along with team-mate Esteban Ocon, is yet to pick up a point in four races this season, adding to the pressure on PSG to perform well in the Champions League. The 2020 Monza Grand Prix winner's worst fears were realized in the first half of the match, as former Leeds United star Raphinha scored to put Barcelona ahead less than ten minutes before the interval.
