New Star Wars game "Outlaws" confirmed for August 30 release with an epic story trailer showcasing underworld heists and familiar faces.

Star Wars Outlaws has officially announced its release date in an exciting new story trailer. Set to be released by Ubisoft, the publisher behind Assassin's Creed, on August 30, this highly anticipated game for PS5, Xbox, and PC revolves around the thrilling concept of operating in the shadows right under the Empire's watchful eye.

The trailer showcases a captivating storyline where all the galaxy's crime syndicates unite to capitalize on the growing Rebellion and rake in massive profits. The protagonist, Kay Vess, a talented thief, finds herself coerced by a syndicate leader to carry out a daring heist in exchange for her freedom.

In order to accomplish this task, Kay embarks on a journey across the galaxy to meet with various underworld figures, including the infamous Jabba the Hutt, the Pike Syndicate, and the Crimson Dawn. Notably, the game is set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, with Darth Maul no longer leading the Crimson Dawn and Han Solo frozen in carbonite.

Fans can expect to encounter familiar faces such as a Sarlacc pit and a Krayt dragon, both posing threats to Kay. Additionally, iconic elements like Stormtroopers, AT-STs, TIE Fighters, and Star Destroyers make appearances, along with the return of the Death Troopers from Rogue One. The game introduces new planets to explore, including Akiva and the moon of Toshara, alongside classic locations like Tatooine, Canto Bight, and Kijimi from the sequel trilogy.

Players will have the option to choose from three editions of the game, with the higher-tier versions offering bonus DLC missions, cosmetic items, and early access to the game. Subscribers to Ubisoft+ will also have the opportunity to play the game before its official release date.
