Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell appeared on Episode 5 of Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV to discuss his reactions to the docuseries after it started streaming last month. The docuseries detailed how former Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck pleaded no contest in 2003 to two charges of sexually abusing Bell and served time in prison.

During the interview, Bell expressed shock at the level of support Peck received from Hollywood during his sentencing, with many recognizable faces showing up in court to support him. Bell was unaware of the 41 letters written by celebrities in support of Peck until they were revealed during the court proceedings.

In a conversation with journalist Soledad O'Brien, Bell discussed his feelings about Boy Meets World actors Rider Strong and Will Friedle supporting Peck during his court case. He also shared his appreciation for their perspective and expressed forgiveness towards them.

Despite the lack of outreach from those who supported Peck, Bell revealed that he had a positive conversation with Rider Strong after the taping of the episode. The docuseries also addressed the allegations against former Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider and the toxic culture during his time at the network.

Bell defended his former co-star Josh Peck and their close bond, emphasizing the difficulty of processing the situation. He also praised Schneider for being the only person from the network who offered support during his ordeal with Peck.
