Retiree chooses condo Calgary outskirts resort amenities

Retiree finds dream condo in Calgary with resort-like amenities, near Fish Creek Provincial Park, for $1.1 million. Viral-worthy luxury living!

Ellen Lapierre from Realty 2000 Inc. was the listing agent for a unique property that caught the eye of retiree client Kamil Lalji from CIR Realty. After an extensive six-month search through various condominium suites and detached bungalows in different areas ranging from Banff National Park to downtown Calgary, the perfect property was found. This ground-floor unit in a resort-like community near Fish Creek Provincial Park on the outskirts of the city fit all the criteria. The property was even more appealing as the asking price had recently been reduced from $1.15 million to $1.1 million.

According to Mr. Lalji, at this price point, one could easily purchase a house, so the value proposition needed to be exceptional for someone looking for all the amenities offered. The building, Sanderson Ridge, stood out as one of the most impressive condo buildings in Calgary. With over 26,000 square feet of amenities including an on-site pool, gym, workshop, crafts room, wine-making cellar, movie theatre, bowling alley, and more, it provided a luxurious lifestyle for residents aged 40 and above.

The corner unit in question boasts 1,709 square feet of living space with high ceilings and open living and dining areas. The kitchen is equipped with an island, stainless steel appliances, and access to a patio with pathways leading into the park. Additionally, there is a den, two bedrooms with walk-through closets to full-sized bathrooms, a powder room, and a laundry room. The unit also comes with two storage lockers and two parking spots, with utility costs bundled into the monthly fees of $1,047.

Mr. Lalji highlighted the unit's features, including a spacious patio with a gas line and direct access to Fish Creek Provincial Park. The unique shape of the unit allows for north-, northeast-, and east-facing windows, providing ample natural light. Not all units in the complex offer the same size and layout, making this particular property even more desirable.
