The 92-year-old media mogul, Rupert Murdoch, has recently announced his engagement to retired molecular biologist, Elena Zhukova, marking his fifth marriage. The couple is set to tie the knot on June 1 at Murdoch's California vineyard and estate, Moraga.

Murdoch first met Zhukova through his third wife, Wendi Deng, and the two hit it off. Zhukova, who studied diabetes at the University of California, Los Angeles, brings a scientific background to the relationship.

This news comes almost a year after Murdoch's engagement to Ann Lesley Smith, a retired dental hygienist, ended abruptly in the spring of 2023. Prior to Smith, Murdoch was married to model Jerry Hall from 2016 to 2022.

Murdoch's marital history is quite complex, with his first marriage to Patricia Booker in 1956 ending in divorce in 1967. He then married Anna Maria Torv, with whom he had three children before divorcing in 1999. His marriage to Wendi Deng lasted from 1999 to 2013 and produced two children.

Elena Zhukova, who hails from Moscow, was previously married to billionaire energy investor Alexander Zhukov. Murdoch, who announced his retirement as chairman of Fox Corp. and News Corp. last year, remains committed to staying engaged with news and ideas.
