Boston Celtics dominate Golden State Warriors for 11th consecutive victory

Boston Celtics dominate Golden State Warriors 140-88 in record-breaking victory, extending win streak to 11 games with historic performance.

The Boston Celtics put on a historic and record-breaking performance as they routed the Golden State Warriors 140-88, extending their win streak to 11 games. This victory marked the third-largest blowout in Celtics history, dating back to 1946. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum led the charge, with Brown scoring 25 of his 29 points in a phenomenal first half, while Tatum celebrated his 26th birthday by scoring 22 of his 27 points in the first two quarters of domination.

The Celtics made NBA history by becoming the first team to win three games in a single season by 50 or more points. Despite missing Kristaps Porzingis due to injury, Boston seized an 82-38 lead at halftime, their largest halftime lead ever and the Warriors' largest halftime deficit. Derrick White expressed how much fun it was to be a part of such a dominant performance, highlighting the unexpected nature of the blowout.

Boston's sharpshooting was on full display, making 10 three-pointers in the first quarter alone, the most in any quarter this season. The Warriors struggled to find their rhythm, shooting just 34.9% in the first half and committing eight turnovers. In contrast, the Celtics shot an impressive 60% from the field in the first half, including 15-of-24 from beyond the arc.

With the game well in hand, the Celtics cruised to a 140-88 victory, improving their home record to 29-3 for the season. Jaylen Brown emphasized the team's growth and maturity, feeling that they are primed and ready for success. The Celtics now boast the league's best record at 48-12, while the Warriors sit at 32-28, ninth in the Western Conference.

In other NBA action, the Los Angeles Clippers edged out the Minnesota Timberwolves 89-88, thanks to Kawhi Leonard's clutch free throws. The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Dallas Mavericks 120-116, despite Luka Doncic's impressive triple-double performance. The New York Knicks secured a 107-98 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, led by Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Hart's triple-double.

Young talents also shined on the court, with French rookie Victor Wembanyama leading the San Antonio Spurs to a 117-105 win over the Indiana Pacers. R.J. Barrett and Immanuel Quickley propelled the Toronto Raptors to a 111-106 victory against the Charlotte Hornets. Paolo Banchero dominated with 29 points to lead the Orlando Magic to a 113-91 win over the Detroit Pistons.
