The highly anticipated film, Borderlands, is finally on the horizon, starring big names such as Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, and Jamie Lee Curtis. Based on the popular video game series, the movie has been a long time coming, with the first images of the cast being revealed back in the summer of 2021. However, the production has undergone extensive reshoots, with director Eli Roth reportedly not overseeing the process, and screenwriter Craig Mazin removing his name from the project.

The recent press release from Lionsgate finally unveiled full images of Blanchett and the rest of the cast in costume. The story follows Lilith, an infamous bounty hunter with a mysterious past, as she returns to her chaotic home planet, Pandora, to find the missing daughter of the universe's most powerful figure, Atlas. Lilith forms an unexpected alliance with a team of misfits, including Roland, Tiny Tina, Krieg, Tannis, and Claptrap, as they battle alien species and dangerous bandits to uncover Pandora's explosive secrets.

Borderlands is set to hit theaters on August 9, with the trailer for the film debuting online tomorrow. Fans of the video game series and movie enthusiasts alike are eagerly anticipating the release of this action-packed, star-studded film.
