Governor Ron DeSantis has ordered that flags in St. Lucie County be lowered to half-staff in honor of Trooper Zachary Fink, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty while pursuing a suspect on I-95. Trooper Fink, a dedicated member of the Florida Highway Patrol, bravely served his community for three years and made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the people of Florida. His commitment to public service and his unwavering passion for creating a safer community will be remembered and honored.

The directive from Governor DeSantis calls for the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at various locations in St. Lucie County, including the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, the St. Lucie County Courthouse, and the City Hall of Port St. Lucie. This solemn tribute will take place from sunrise to sunset on Monday, February 12th.

Trooper Fink's life and service will be commemorated during a memorial service at Christ Fellowship Church in Port St. Lucie on February 12th at 11 a.m. The service will be open to the public, and full line-of-duty death honors will be given to honor his memory.
