3D Disney movies available for streaming on Apple Vision Pro

Disney+ app for Apple's Vision Pro headset launches today, featuring 42 Disney films in 3D, with more to come.

Today marks the official launch of Apple's Vision Pro headset and Disney's Disney+ app for the Vision Pro. This means that users of the Vision Pro headset will have access to the entire catalog of Disney+ content, including Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic films and television shows.

In addition to standard viewing experiences, Disney is taking it a step further by offering immersive 3D content. At launch, 42 Disney films will be available in 3D on the Vision Pro, including popular titles like Avatar: The Way of Water, Black Panther, Inside Out, and The Lion King. Users who have purchased 3D movies through the Apple TV app will also be able to access them on the Vision Pro.

The 3D films on Disney+ will feature Dolby Vision, Multiview High-Efficiency Video Coding (MV-HEVC), and UHD resolution in HDR. This collaboration between Disney and Apple represents a new frontier of storytelling, allowing for unprecedented experiences and bringing characters and stories to life in ways that were previously impossible.
