With tears welling up in his eyes, De Niro expressed the profound impact that Gia has had on his life, stating, "I'm an 80-year-old dad, and it's great." He candidly shared the transformative effect of fatherhood, acknowledging that everything else he is consumed with or worried about simply fades away when he looks at her.

But she's thinking, she's observing everything and watching. It's really interesting. I want to be around for as long as I can, to enjoy it. Enjoy her."
