XFL USFL merge UFL games air ABC ESPN

Further details about team markets and football operations will be announced in the near future. Due to existing contracts with the XFL and USFL, the UFL will be broadcast on Disney's ABC and ESPN, as well as FOX's channels, with international details to follow at a later date.

The announcement was made by Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson on FOX NFL Sunday. Dwayne Johnson, Founder and CEO of Seven Bucks Companies, expressed his excitement about the UFL, stating that their mission is to expand the game of football and create a league of opportunity, culture, and innovation. He emphasized the potential for the UFL to be a powerful, exciting, and impactful league for football fans, providing a platform for players with dreams of playing professional football.

Eric Shanks, CEO and Executive Producer of FOX Sports, echoed the sentiment, emphasizing that the UFL represents the future of spring football and the opportunity to advance broadcast practices, rule innovations, and community engagement.

The merger of the XFL and USFL aims to fill the void in the spring when the NFL is not in season and provide more players with the opportunity to pursue their football dreams.
