In a not-so-surprising turn of events, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have officially secured the top spot in the 2024 recruiting rankings, as reported by 247Sports. This achievement was solidified with the unexpected commitment of KJ Bolden, a five-star safety from Buford (Georgia) High School, who is ranked as the top player at his position in the country, the 14th overall player, and the second player in the state of Georgia according to 247Sports' Composite rankings. Bolden's decision to flip to Georgia from his previous commitment to Florida State adds to the Bulldogs' impressive 2024 class, which now boasts a total of 28 signees.

Bolden's addition to the team makes him the fourth five-star recruit to join the Bulldogs, alongside cornerback Ellis Robinson IV, linebacker Justin Williams, and defensive lineman Joseph Jonah-Ajonye. Furthermore, he is the 10th top-100 recruit to sign with Georgia, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

This year's recruiting class for Georgia has already been declared the best in the country by 247Sports, marking the earliest point in a recruiting cycle that a team has been awarded the national championship in recruiting.
