Kentucky basketball vs North Carolina: Time and TV channel for Wildcats' game today

Historic college basketball programs Kentucky and North Carolina renew their rivalry in the CBS Sports Classic at State Farm Arena.

The historic rivalry between two of college basketball's most storied programs is set to be renewed on Saturday evening as Kentucky and North Carolina face off in the CBS Sports Classic at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Despite Kentucky's usual dominance over opponents, North Carolina holds the head-to-head advantage with a series lead of 25-17. However, under John Calipari's leadership, Kentucky has won seven of the 11 meetings since he became coach in 2009.

Both teams are ranked in the latest USA TODAY Coaches Poll, with North Carolina at No. 9 and Kentucky at No. 15. Led by coach Hubert Davis, the Tar Heels have excelled this season in getting to the free-throw line and converting those opportunities. With four players averaging 10 or more points per game, including RJ Davis, Armando Bacot, Harrison Ingram, and Cormac Ryan, the Tar Heels present a formidable challenge for the Wildcats.

The game is scheduled to start at approximately 5:30 p.m. and will be televised nationally on CBS. Betting odds favor North Carolina by 1 point with an over-under set at 164.5 points. The game can also be live-streamed on CBSSports.com or via the CBS Sports app. Radio coverage will be provided by the UK radio network, with Tom Leach and Jack Givens delivering the play-by-play commentary.

With high stakes and a long history of competition, this matchup promises to be an exciting and closely contested battle between two basketball powerhouses.
