Colin Jost, known for co-hosting "Weekend Update" on Saturday Night Live with Michael Che, recently delivered some cutting jokes during the final episode of the year. Jost joked about New York State allowing movie theaters to serve alcohol, quipping that it finally allowed him to enjoy his wife's "art movies." He quickly added that he was kidding and that he loves all of her movies, comparing her to Coretta Scott King, the late wife of Martin Luther King Jr.

To add to Jost's discomfort, Che had a black civil rights activist sit next to him as he delivered the joke. Despite Jost's unease, fans were entertained by his efforts on social media, with some praising Che for "doing him so dirty" and others calling the two comedians "comedy gold."

Jost got his own back on Che later in the segment, reading a joke about Beyoncé's Instagram photo where she was described as looking "too white." Jost quipped that she looked so white that he was finally attracted to her.

Jost and his wife, Scarlett Johansson, were first linked in May 2017 and later married in October 2020. They recently welcomed their first child together in August 2021.
