Country singer Luke Combs is taking steps to rectify a situation involving a disabled Florida woman who was caught up in a legal battle with his lawyers. The woman, Nicol Harness, who sells tumblers online, was ordered to pay Combs $250,000 as part of a crackdown against companies selling unauthorized merchandise with his image or name.

However, in a recent Instagram video, Combs announced that he had instructed his attorneys to remove Harness from the lawsuit and was sending her $11,000. Harness had sold 18 tumblers featuring Combs' name and likeness on Amazon, grossing $360. Combs also pledged to start selling his own tumbler, with proceeds going towards Harness' medical bills, as she suffers from heart disease.

The singer, known for his recent chart-topping remake of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car," also promised to fly Harness and her family to an upcoming concert to meet her in person. Combs emphasized that his legal team was intended to target large companies selling unauthorized goods, not fans who have small businesses on the side. Most of the other sellers sued were large operations in Asia, according to court filings.

Combs expressed his regret over the situation, stating that he is not a greedy person and that money is the last thing on his mind. He was deeply apologetic and sympathetic when he spoke with Harness, expressing his dismay over the situation, particularly during the holiday season.

Harness' story came to light in a viral report by a Tampa TV station, WFLA. She explained that she was served the lawsuit via email, which went to her junk mail folder, and she was unaware of it. As a result, she was found in default, and the $250,000 judgment was imposed. Amazon froze her account, leaving her unable to pay her bills.

In response, Combs took swift action to make amends, demonstrating genuine concern and understanding towards Harness. She expressed her surprise and gratitude when Combs reached out to her, describing him as a nice and understanding person.
