Kanye West announces new album release date after latest controversy

Kanye West announces new album "Vultures" with Ty Dolla $ign, marking his return to music after controversies. Listening party in Miami.

Kanye West, who recently changed his name to Ye, has announced the release of a new joint album with Ty Dolla $ign called "Vultures" on Friday, 15 December. This marks West's return to music after a series of controversies. The announcement was made during a club appearance with Ty Dolla $ign, who also revealed plans for a listening party in Miami on Tuesday, 12 December.

The title track of the album was debuted by West during a surprise performance at a nightclub in Dubai. However, the song's lyrics have already sparked controversy, with West rapping, "How am I antisemitic? I just f***** a Jewish b****." This comes after West made a series of comments about Jewish people that led to Adidas ending their partnership with him.

West's previous album, "Donda," was released in 2021 and featured controversial appearances by Marilyn Manson, who was accused of sexual and physical abuse by multiple women. Despite the allegations, Manson denied them, stating that his relationships have always been consensual.

West's personal life has also been the subject of public interest, with rumors of his marriage to former employee Bianca Censori and his divorce from Kim Kardashian. The couple shares four children together.

Ty Dolla $ign has shared a tracklist for the new album on Instagram, revealing song titles such as "Lifestyle," "Worship," "Beg Forgiveness," and "Drunk." The album is also rumored to feature guest artists such as Future and Playboi Carti, as well as samples from the Backstreet Boys and singer Leon Bridges.

However, West has a history of announcing albums and failing to release them on schedule. Two albums announced in 2020, "God's Country" and "Donda: With Child," have yet to be released. Additionally, "Jesus is King," originally titled "Yandhi," was delayed multiple times before its eventual release in 2019.

The release of "Vultures" has already been postponed from a "multi-stadium listening event" that was initially scheduled for 3 November 2023. Despite the delays and controversies, fans eagerly await the release of West and Ty Dolla $ign's joint album.
