Miami Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill suffered a left ankle injury during Monday night's game against the Tennessee Titans and was uncertain to return, as reported by the team.

Hill, who has been having an exceptional season in terms of receiving, sustained the injury in the first quarter while being tackled. Sean Murphy-Bunting of the Titans brought Hill down, causing his lower left leg to become trapped underneath the cornerback's body.

After the injury, Hill watched the rest of the first half from the sideline without his helmet and had only two catches for 13 yards.

Heading into Week 14, Hill led the NFL with 1,481 receiving yards and 12 scoring receptions, and was second with 93 catches.

The 29-year-old Hill has his sights set on making history by becoming the first player in NFL history to reach 2,000 receiving yards. The current record of 1,964 was set by former Detroit Lions star Calvin Johnson in 2012.

In addition to Hill's injury, Dolphins center Connor Williams also suffered a knee injury early in the first quarter and was subsequently ruled out by the team.

At halftime, the Dolphins had not scored an offensive touchdown and were trailing the Titans 10-7.
