NFL 2023: Justin Jefferson injury, scores, stats, results, Ravens punt return touchdown, C.J Stroud injury, Justin Herbert, New York Jets, reaction

Vikings WR Justin Jefferson takes a brutal hit, QB Josh Dobbs under fire. Lamar Jackson shines, and Zach Wilson leads Jets to victory.

Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson took a massive hit while trying to catch a pass from his quarterback Josh Dobbs. Dobbs threw the ball over the middle to Jefferson, who made a leaping catch just as Raiders safety Marcus Epps collided with him in the chest with brutal force. The hit was clean, but many believed it was a pass Dobbs should not have thrown as it put Jefferson in danger. Jefferson would be ruled out for the game with a chest injury and taken to a local hospital for observation. This was a cruel blow for Vikings fans and Jefferson fantasy football owners, as it was his first game back after two months on the sideline with a hamstring injury. Unfortunately, Jefferson wasn't the only one injured in Week 14, as quarterbacks C.J Stroud and Justin Herbert were also forced out of their games early. Stroud suffered a concussion late in the game against the New York Jets, while Herbert was ruled out of the game against the Denver Broncos with a finger injury. Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens managed to pull off a win against the Rams, with quarterback Lamar Jackson and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. shining. However, it was a relatively unknown player, Tylan Wallace, who stole the show in the end. Wallace, a third-year wide receiver, had never returned a punt in the NFL but was needed in that role due to an injury to the regular returner. In overtime, Wallace made a game-winning punt return, leading the Ravens to a 10-3 record. In another surprising turn of events, Jets quarterback Zach Wilson led his team to a 30-6 victory over the Texans, snapping a five-game losing streak for the Jets. Wilson played a strong game, completing 27 of 36 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns. This win marked the first time the Jets scored three touchdowns in a game all season. Despite reports that Wilson was reluctant to start, he looked like a different quarterback on the field, moving well to escape the pass rush and making decisive passes. This was the third 300-yard passing game of his career, and the first one with no interceptions.
