Patriots Steelers inactives DeVante Parker 3 wide receivers ruled out

New England Patriots will face the Pittsburgh Steelers shorthanded. DeVante Parker and Rhamondre Stevenson among those ruled out for the game.

The New England Patriots are set to face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in their second primetime game of the season. However, the Patriots will be shorthanded on the offensive side of the ball as they have ruled out several key players for the game.

Running back Rhamondre Stevenson, wide receivers Demario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte, and depth cornerback Shaun Wade have all been ruled out due to various injuries and illnesses. In addition, wide receiver DeVante Parker will also miss the game due to a knee injury, further weakening the Patriots' wide receiver depth.

On the bright side, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, offensive tackle Trent Brown, and defensive tackle Christian Barmore, who were listed as questionable, will all be active for the game.

As for the Steelers, quarterback Kenny Pickett will be sidelined due to an ankle injury, with backup Mitchell Trubisky set to start in his place. However, running back Najee Harris, who was questionable with a knee ailment, has been cleared to play.

Overall, both teams will be dealing with significant absences, but the stage is set for an intriguing matchup between the Patriots and the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET.
