Giannis Antetokounmpo wins prize money after Knicks win

Giannis Antetokounmpo wins $100k in prize money, unaware of the cash. Bucks advance to semifinals with 146-122 win over Knicks.

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo put in an incredible performance in his team's In-Season Tournament quarterfinal game against the New York Knicks, leading his team to a 146-122 victory. What made this victory even sweeter was the fact that by reaching the semifinals, Antetokounmpo and his teammates secured a $100,000 prize.

However, when TNT's Jared Greenberg asked Antetokounmpo about the prize money, the star seemed completely unaware of the financial reward. "Are we getting money now? We got some money?" he asked incredulously. Upon confirmation from Greenberg that they had indeed won the cash prize, Antetokounmpo humorously remarked, "Hey, the rich get richer."

Antetokounmpo's standout performance included 35 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists, leading the way for the Bucks. His teammate Damian Lillard also made a significant contribution with 28 points and seven assists. On the opposing side, Julius Randle of the Knicks put up an impressive 41 points, but his teammates were unable to match his level of play.

With the victory, the Bucks now advance to face the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference's semifinal matchup, with a chance to compete in the In-Season Tournament championship. The winner of the East will then face the winner of the West's semifinal matchup between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers.

It's clear that Antetokounmpo's focus was solely on leading his team to victory, with the financial reward being an afterthought. His dedication and commitment to the game were evident, and it's clear that he is a player who prioritizes success on the court above all else.
