NBA in-season tournament 2023-24 knockout round bracket and dates

NBA in-season tournament knockout rounds set with eight teams securing berths, single-game elimination format, and cash prizes for winners.

The group play stage of the 2023-24 NBA in-season tournament has officially come to an end, with eight teams - four from each conference - securing berths to the upcoming knockout rounds. As the regular season action continues for a few more days, the knockout rounds are set to begin in early December. Once the quarterfinals kick off, it will be a series of straight in-season tournament games for the surviving teams until a winner is ultimately crowned.

In the NBA in-season tournament, eight teams have qualified for the quarterfinals, with four coming from each conference. The quarterfinals are scheduled to take place on Monday, December 4th and Tuesday, December 5th, with the higher seed hosting each game in a single-game elimination format.

Following the quarterfinals, the four winning teams will advance to Las Vegas for the semifinals on Thursday, December 7th. The final showdown will then take place on Saturday, December 9th, also in Sin City. It's important to note that the final game will not count towards players' regular-season statistics, essentially serving as the No. 83 game on the calendar.

For the 22 teams who did not qualify for the quarterfinals, they will not be sitting on the sidelines. Instead, each of these teams will play a home and away regular-season game on Wednesday, December 6th, and Friday, December 8th. Additionally, the four teams who are eliminated in the quarterfinals will also play a regular-season game on December 8th.

In terms of prizes, the champion of the in-season tournament on December 9th will see all players on the roster receiving $500,000 each. The runner-ups will receive $200,000 each, while the semifinal losers will be awarded $100,000, and the quarterfinal losers will receive $50,000.

Furthermore, there will be a Most Valuable Player award given, along with an all-tournament team to recognize outstanding individual performances throughout the tournament.
