Barcelona Champions League knockout stages first time three years Champions League round-up

Shakhtar Donetsk and Borussia Dortmund secure knockout spots, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid also advance, while Man City clinch Group G.

Barcelona secured their spot in the Champions League knockout rounds for the first time in three seasons with a 2-1 comeback win against Porto, thanks to goals from Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix. After two years of crashing out in the group stage, Barcelona is back in the last 16 with a top spot in Group H and 12 points, three ahead of Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk. Shakhtar beat Antwerp 1-0 and will play Porto in the final match to decide who will join Barcelona in the knockout stage. Barcelona needs at least a draw against bottom side Antwerp to guarantee top spot in the group. Despite a valiant effort from Porto, Barcelona's goalkeeper Inaki Pena made several excellent saves to keep the hosts in the game. A fine curling shot by Cancelo and a goal by Felix secured the win for Barcelona. Borussia Dortmund sealed progression with a 3-1 win at AC Milan, and Atletico Madrid moved into the last 16 with a victory at Feyenoord by the same scoreline. Young Boys secured a place in the Europa League knockout round playoffs with a 2-0 home win over Red Star.
