Browns Juan Thornhill active, LB Anthony Walker Jr. inactive for Broncos game

Browns' defense gets a boost with the return of safety Juan Thornhill, while dealing with multiple injuries ahead of Broncos game.

The Cleveland Browns are getting some much-needed help in their secondary as they prepare to face the Denver Broncos. Safety Juan Thornhill will be back in action after missing the last two games due to a calf injury. This is a welcome return for the Browns, who recently lost safety Rodney McLeod to a season-ending torn biceps and cornerback Denzel Ward to a shoulder injury.

The injuries suffered during the last game against the Steelers have left the Browns defense in a tough spot. Linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. will be out with a hamstring injury, but the Browns have activated Jordan Kunaszyk from injured reserve to help fill the gap. McLeod, who underwent successful surgery, will begin his rehab soon.

With Ward ruled out for the upcoming game, the Browns will also be without rookie cornerback Cam Mitchell, who is on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. This means Mike Ford Jr. will step in as the third cornerback alongside Greg Newsome II and Martin Emerson Jr. Additionally, cornerback A.J. Green and safety Tanner McAlister have been elevated from the practice squad.

The Browns, who are currently 7-3, are looking to extend their three-game winning streak while putting an end to the Broncos' four-game streak. The Broncos have been strong on defense, with 12 takeaways in their last three games. They are tied for third in the NFL with 19 takeaways, while the Browns are tied for third with 20 giveaways.

The Browns' quarterback, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, will be seeking his second straight victory after leading the team to a 13-10 win over the Steelers last week. Despite struggling for much of the game, Thompson-Robinson came through in the clutch, completing four passes on the game-winning field goal drive and setting up the winning kick by Dustin Hopkins.

Thompson-Robinson's emotional reaction after the victory showed just how much it meant to him and the team. With the return of Thornhill and the activation of Kunaszyk, the Browns are hoping to maintain their winning streak and come out on top against the Broncos.
