Brandi Mallory Dies: Extreme Weight Loss Star Was 40

Makeup artist and Extreme Weight Loss contestant Rodriquez passed away, leaving a legacy of inspiration and body positivity.

Mallory, a talented makeup artist, tragically passed away and her death has been confirmed by the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office. An obituary posted on Legacy notes that a funeral will be held in Georgia on Nov. 20, but a cause of death has not been disclosed.

Mallory first auditioned for the reality show The Biggest Loser, but was ultimately recommended for Extreme Weight Loss. She revealed that at the time of her audition, she weighed 329 pounds. Under the guidance of Chris Powell, she participated in a grueling Half Ironman fitness challenge involving swimming, biking, and running.

In addition to her successful career in makeup, Mallory was known for sharing her journey on Instagram and in a 2018 YouTube interview with Atlanta journalist Kirby Carroll. She spoke about her commitment to "dancing away" her pounds and revealed that the passing of a friend and sorority sister at the age of 29 motivated her to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

Fellow contestant from Extreme Weight Loss Season 5, Kim Williams Maxile, paid tribute to Mallory on Instagram, calling her an inspiration. Maxile shared that Mallory's journey on the show inspired her and her fellow contestants to keep going, and expressed gratitude for Mallory's impact on the world and her passion for body positivity.

Mallory's passing is a reminder of the importance of living a healthy and fulfilling life, and her legacy will continue to inspire others to pursue their own journeys of wellness and self-improvement.
