T.J. Watt surpasses brother JJ Watt for most sacks in first 100 career NFL games

JJ Watt predicts brother T.J. Watt will break his records, which comes true as T.J. surpasses JJ's sack record.

JJ Watt's career as an analyst for CBS Sports is off to a strong start, as he recently predicted that his younger brother, T.J. Watt, would surpass all of his records. This prediction came true when T.J. Watt recorded his 88th career sack, surpassing JJ on the NFL's list of most sacks through 100 games. T.J. Watt now trails only Hall of Fame pass rusher Reggie White, who holds the record with 105 sacks over that span.

JJ Watt, who is sure to be immortalized in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, congratulated his younger brother on social media and paid homage to White, who played for the hometown Packers during Watt's childhood in Wisconsin. T.J. Watt, in his seventh season, has become the Steelers' career sack leader and has earned five Pro Bowl selections and three All-Pro honors. He also joined a prestigious list of Steelers players to win Defensive Rookie of the Year, tying Michael Strahan's single-season sack record in the same year.

T.J. Watt credits much of his success in the NFL to his brother, who won three Defensive Player of the Year awards during his time with the Houston Texans. In an interview with CBS Sports, T.J. Watt expressed his admiration for his brother's accomplishments and the realization of how difficult it is to succeed at the NFL level.

Overall, it's clear that the Watt brothers have left an indelible mark on the NFL, with JJ's impressive career as a player and T.J.'s promising trajectory that may lead to Hall of Fame consideration in the future. Their shared success and mutual respect for each other make for a compelling story of talent, determination, and brotherly support in the world of professional football.
