Jon Jones took to social media to congratulate Tom Aspinall on his impressive knockout victory over Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 295. Aspinall and Pavlovich squared off for the interim heavyweight title on short notice after Jon Jones had to withdraw from his scheduled title fight due to injury.

Aspinall's victory marked his return to action after a dominant performance in July, while Pavlovich entered the bout on a six-fight winning streak, all by knockout or TKO. As expected, the co-main event did not make it out of the opening round, with Aspinall delivering a huge punch that sent Pavlovich crashing to the canvas.

Following the fight, Jon Jones congratulated Aspinall on his interim championship win, praising his performance. Despite the victory, UFC CEO Dana White confirmed that the promotion still plans for Jon Jones to fight Stipe Miocic next, with a potential timeline for the bout set for the summer of 2024.
