The trio, consisting of Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus, wowed the audience with a captivating performance of their infectious track 'Not Strong Enough', all while donning matching suits and ties.

Later in the show, Boygenius returned for a dynamic rendition of their track 'Satanist', once again dressed in matching black suits and accompanied by additional musicians. The performance was marked by distinctive shifts in tone and signature style, effortlessly captivating the audience and culminating in a moment of high energy as Baker energetically tossed her guitar across the stage, eliciting a thunderous roar of approval from the crowd.

Boygenius recently wrapped up their tour behind The Record, which featured special shows with guest artists like Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Ethel Cain. Grohl, a vocal fan of Bridgers for years, has been a supportive figure for the band. In 2021, he defended Bridgers from a social media storm after she smashed a guitar on SNL, citing Kurt Cobain's frequent guitar smashing as proof that rock and roll is alive and well, with Bridgers as a shining example.

Even Grohl's mother is a fan, as he shared on Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show, recounting her praise for Bridgers' beautiful voice and impressive talent. Boygenius' appearance on Saturday Night Live was a testament to their growing influence and unique blend of indie rock, leaving a lasting impression on the audience and further solidifying their place in the music industry.
