Kentucky basketball game vs Kansas: Dominant win after sluggish start

John Calipari's Kentucky Wildcats comeback from a 13-point deficit to defeat Texas A&M-Commerce 81-59 in a thrilling college basketball game.

The game between Texas A&M-Commerce and Kentucky started off with the Lions taking an 8-0 lead, prompting a timeout by Kentucky coach John Calipari. The Lions extended their lead to 13 points, but Kentucky began to find their rhythm offensively and force turnovers defensively. The Wildcats, with a freshman class, started their comeback and took the lead with a 17-3 run. Senior guard Reeves caught fire in the latter stages of the first half, ending the half as the leading scorer with 13 points. In the final 20 minutes, Texas A&M-Commerce never drew closer than six points, and Kentucky eventually extended its advantage to as many as 22 points. Reeves finished with a game-high 21 points, followed by fellow senior Tre Mitchell with 18. Edwards, Dillingham, and Wagner all notched double-figure point totals in the 20-point victory. Kalen Williams and Tommie Lewis had 19 and 18 points, respectively, for the Lions. Kentucky's next matchup will be away from Lexington.
