With Veterans Day falling on a Saturday this year, some banks will not be open on Friday, while others will be closed on Saturday to honor the federal holiday that commemorates American military veterans. Post offices will be closed for the holiday, but stock markets will operate as usual.

According to a spokesperson, Capital One branches will observe Veterans Day on Friday and will be open for their regular hours on Saturday. On the other hand, Bank of America, Citibank, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, and U.S. Bank will be open for normal hours on Friday but will be closed on Saturday in observance of the holiday, as confirmed by representatives for each institution. Customers are encouraged to check their bank's website for the operating hours of local branches.

The Nasdaq Stock Market and the New York Stock Exchange will be closed on Saturday, while they opened for trading as usual on Friday morning. Additionally, the markets will also be closed for Thanksgiving later this month, with the observance falling on November 23, and will close early on Black Friday, which is on November 24.

The U.S. Postal Service will operate normally on Friday, but post offices will be closed on Saturday, and regular mail delivery will be suspended. However, express mail will still be delivered on Saturday, with regular mail service resuming on Monday.

FedEx offices will be open on both Friday and Saturday, but there will be early on-call pickups for express service in some areas on Friday, and ground economy deliveries may be delayed due to the Postal Service's observance of the holiday. On Saturday, ground and ground economy services will be closed.

Similarly, UPS stores will also be open on both days, with some deliveries potentially delayed due to the Postal Service holiday.
