UConn women's basketball defeats Dayton in season opener

Bueckers made an impact early in the game, scoring a layup and contributing to the team's victory with eight points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals in just 17 minutes of play. The Huskies showcased their depth by utilizing 10 players in the first half, which was a stark contrast to last year when injuries limited their roster. Aaliyah Edwards led the team with 23 points and nine rebounds, while several newcomers also made their mark, including Ice Brady, KK Arnold, Qadence Samuels, and Ashlynn Shade.
