Dembele shines PSG climb top Ligue 1.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) beat Montpellier 3-0, with Ousmane Dembele providing much of the ammunition. PSG moved two points clear at the top of Ligue 1.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) emerged victorious in a 3-0 win against Montpellier, securing their place at the top of France's Ligue 1, at least temporarily. The team, under the leadership of coach Luis Enrique, showcased a strong performance with goals from Lee Kang-in, Warren Zaire-Emery, and Vitinha.

Lee Kang-in kicked off the scoring with a left-foot shot into the top corner just 10 minutes into the game, thanks to a clever dummy from Kylian Mbappe. Luis Enrique praised Lee's abilities, describing him as a likable player who is young, makes an effort in both attack and defense, and consistently makes good decisions on the field.

Zaire-Emery extended PSG's lead to 2-0 with a confident finish after receiving a back-heel pass from Ousmane Dembele. The 17-year-old showcased composure and skill as he found the back of the net from the edge of the six-yard box.

Vitinha, who came on as a substitute, wasted no time in making an impact, scoring almost immediately after entering the field. His powerful strike from the edge of the area left the Montpellier goalkeeper with no chance to make a save.

Although Mbappe failed to find the back of the net in this match, he played a crucial role in setting up his teammates for goals. However, he was largely kept quiet by Montpellier's robust defense.

PSG's victory solidifies their position at the top of the league, moving two points clear of Nice. The team's strong start to the season has impressed coach Luis Enrique, who aims to maintain their effectiveness in every match and continue to improve.

Looking ahead, PSG will face AC Milan in the Champions League, following their successful start to the European campaign with a win against Borussia Dortmund. The team currently leads Group F with six points.

In other matches, all eyes will be on Marseille's game against Lille, especially after the recent incident where Lyon's bus was attacked by Marseille fans. Nice and Monaco will also be in action, with Nice having the opportunity to reclaim the top spot in the league when they face Rennes, and Monaco hosting Brest.
