In a thrilling match between Afghanistan and Pakistan in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, Afghanistan emerged victorious with eight wickets in hand. The match, held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, showcased outstanding performances from Afghanistan's batsmen, who successfully chased a target of 283 runs.

Leading the charge for Afghanistan were Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmat Shah, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi.
