Fossati passionately appeals to the fans attending the stadium, saying, "I ask the fans to show their support. True fans don't only appear when things are going well. It's worth noting that three players from Fossati's team have made it to Juan Reynoso's list, with Piero Quispe being the only one not included in the 23 players who will be on the bench for the match against Argentina.

Currently, Peru has accumulated one point in the standings after a goalless draw against Paraguay and defeats against Brazil (1-0) and Chile (2-0). On the other hand, the Argentine team is the only one with a perfect score, having won against Ecuador, Bolivia, and Paraguay.
