'Kelce' Becomes Prime Video's Most-Watched Documentary Film Ever In U.S.

The Week 5 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys has become the talk of the town in the NFL regular season. The game, which aired on NBC on Sunday night, drew a staggering 24.3 million viewers on linear TV. When factoring in streaming viewership, the total viewership rose to 26.3 million. This makes it the most-watched game of the week and the most-watched Week 5 NBC Sunday Night Football game since the program's inception in 2006.

NBC has consistently dominated the ratings this regular season, with this being the third time they have taken the top spot. CBS secured second place with their broadcast of the Chiefs-Vikings game in most markets, attracting around 23 million viewers. This performance has propelled CBS to their best five-week start in over two decades. However, earlier in the day, CBS only managed to draw about 12.6 million viewers for the Pittsburgh Steelers' victory over the Baltimore Ravens in the majority of markets.

Fox, on the other hand, averaged 16.8 million viewers for their Sunday singleheader, which is a 14% increase compared to last year's comparable game window. The Eagles vs. Rams matchup was available in about 32% of markets, while the rest of the markets were split between four other games.

While Prime Video did not claim the top viewership spot this week, their Thursday Night Football coverage is still gaining significant traction. The Chicago Bears' win over the Washington Commanders was watched by approximately 11.7 million people, marking a 21% increase compared to last year's comparable game window. It also saw a 33% increase compared to last year's TNF Commanders-Bears matchup on October 13. TNF has consistently posted double-digit viewership growth over the previous year's comparable games for the past four weeks, with a 41% increase compared to last year's full season average.
