The incident occurred in Nashville, Tennessee, when Kerdiles was riding his Indian Motorcycle and failed to stop at a sign, colliding with a BMW. Despite being rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, he succumbed to his injuries.

According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, there were no signs of impairment from either driver, and it is unlikely that charges will be filed against the driver of the BMW.
