Dancing with the Stars 2023 Line-Up Revealed Before Launch

The line-up for the new season of Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) has been unveiled by ABC, featuring a host of celebrities set to compete.

ABC has unveiled the star-studded line-up for the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars (DWTS). The announcement was made on Good Morning America, introducing the contestants who will compete in the dance competition series inspired by Strictly Come Dancing. Prior to the full line-up being revealed, only three contestants had been named.

Among the celebrities set to compete on the new season are Mauricio Umansky from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, singer Jason Mraz, actors Tyson Beckford and Mira Sorvino, Xochitl Gomez, and sports star Adrian Peterson. Content creator Lele Pons, Too Hot to Handle star Harry Jowsey, actor Alyson Hannigan, comedian Matt Walsh, and actor Barry Williams are also part of the line-up.

Jamie Lynn Spears, known for her roles in acting and singing, was announced earlier this week and has partnered with professional dancer Alan Bersten. Spears has pledged to donate her salary to actors' union SAG-AFTRA and writers' union WGA, showing her support for their ongoing strike.

Charity Lawson, who appeared on The Bachelor earlier this year and recently starred in The Bachelorette, was previously named as a contestant. Ariana Madix from Vanderpump Rules was the first contestant to be unveiled in July.

Dancing with the Stars, which returns to ABC after airing exclusively on Disney+ last year, has moved to a Tuesday night slot in the network's schedule. The new season, hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, will premiere live on September 26 on ABC and Disney+. It will also be available on Hulu the following day.

In recent years, winners of the contest have included content creator Charli D'Amelio, former basketball player Iman Shumpert, and The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe. Past winners have included Rumer Willis, Amber Riley, Nicole Scherzinger, and Donny Osmond.
