AC Milan's Serie A win streak continues with triumph over Torino

AC Milan continues their perfect start to the Serie A season with a 4-1 victory over Torino, showcasing their attacking prowess.

AC Milan showcased their attacking prowess in a dominant 4-1 victory over Torino, maintaining their flawless start to the Serie A season. The duo of Olivier Giroud and new signing Christian Pulisic continued their impressive form from the opening win against Bologna, contributing three of the four goals in this match.

Pulisic, the USA international, opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with a clinical finish from a pass by his former Chelsea teammate Ruben Loftus-Cheek. This goal ignited a frenetic end to the first half. However, Torino quickly equalized three minutes later through Perr Schuurs, capitalizing on their first opportunity.

Giroud, though, restored Milan's lead in the 43rd minute with his first penalty of the match, following a lengthy VAR check for handball. Before the break, Theo Hernandez added a third goal for Milan. The second half saw another VAR review leading to Milan's second penalty, which Giroud confidently converted once again, securing his brace.

Meanwhile, Hellas Verona also secured six points with a 2-1 victory over Roma. Ondrej Duda and Cyril Ngonge scored for Verona in the first half, and despite Houssem Aouar's goal for Roma shortly after half-time and Isak Hien's red card, Verona held on for the win.

In other Serie A matches, newly-promoted Frosinone celebrated their first victory with a 2-1 win over Atalanta, while Monza defeated Empoli 2-0 thanks to a double from Andrea Colpani.

Turning to the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund salvaged a 1-1 draw against Bochum with a goal from Donyell Malen after Kevin Stoger had given Bochum an early lead. Dortmund's start to the season has been less convincing following their near-miss for the title last term.

However, Union Berlin is off to an impressive start, sitting at the top of the table after a commanding 4-1 victory over Darmstadt, despite playing with 10 men for over an hour due to Brenden Aaronson's dismissal. Robin Gosens opened the scoring for Berlin, and although Darmstadt equalized quickly, Berlin responded with goals from Kevin Behrens and Danilho Doekhi.

Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, and Freiburg also maintained their perfect starts to the campaign. Leverkusen secured a convincing 3-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach, with Victor Boniface scoring twice. Wolfsburg came from behind to defeat Koln 2-1, courtesy of a double from Jonas Wind. Freiburg seemed destined for a draw against Werder Bremen until Maximilian Philipp scored in the sixth minute of stoppage time, securing a 1-0 win.

In a thrilling match, newly-promoted Heidenheim took a two-goal lead against Hoffenheim but ultimately succumbed to a 3-2 defeat as Hoffenheim scored three late goals, including the winner from the penalty spot by Andrej Kramaric.

In LaLiga, teams used Saturday's matches to show solidarity with Jenni Hermoso and the Women's World Cup winners in their dispute with the federation. Sevilla players wore T-shirts with the message "Se Acabo" (It's Over), while Cadiz players carried a banner supporting Hermoso. On the pitch, Sevilla suffered a 2-1 defeat to Girona, who have made a strong start to the season. Granada secured a 3-2 victory over Mallorca, and Cadiz and Almeria played out a 1-1 draw, with Kaiky Fernandes scoring a stoppage-time equalizer. Both teams finished the match with 10 men.

In Ligue 1, Paris St Germain finally clinched their first victory of the season, defeating Lens 3-1. Kylian Mbappe, who had been embroiled in controversies during the summer, scored two goals after Marco Asensio opened the scoring. Marseille continued their solid start with a 2-0 win over Brest, courtesy of goals from Chancel Mbemba Mangulu and Ismaila Sarr.
