Joining an elite group of golfers, DeChambeau became the fourth professional to card a 58. The only other player to accomplish this feat on the PGA Tour was Jim Furyk at the 2016 Travelers Championship. Ryo Ishikawa (2010) and S.H. Kim (2021) also achieved 58s on the Japan Golf Tour.

To achieve this rare score, DeChambeau needed birdies on the final four holes, culminating in a remarkable 35-foot putt on the 18th hole. This display of skill and precision showcased his exceptional talent and determination.
