Mets Rumors: Tommy Pham Traded to D-Backs for Jeremy Rodriguez Before MLB Deadline

The New York Mets have traded outfielder Tommy Pham to the Arizona Diamondbacks, adding to his long list of teams. Pham has been a solid player throughout his career and will join the Diamondbacks in their push for the postseason. The Mets, on the other hand, have become sellers and are looking towards the future with prospects like Jeremy Rodriguez.

The New York Mets are actively making trades as the 6 p.m. ET trade deadline approaches. According to reports, outfielder Tommy Pham has been traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks. In return, the Mets will receive shortstop Jeremy Rodriguez.

This trade means that Pham will be playing for yet another team in his career. Since entering the major leagues in 2014, Pham has played for multiple teams including the St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox, and now the Mets. Although he spent the majority of his career with the Cardinals, he has been bouncing around recently and did not complete his one-year deal with the Mets.

So far this season, Pham has played in 79 games and has a .268/.348/.472 slash line. He has hit 10 home runs, driven in 36 runs, and stolen 11 bases. Throughout his career, Pham has been a consistent player, although not necessarily a standout. He has had three seasons with more than 20 home runs.

Pham will now join the Diamondbacks, who are currently in third place in the National League West with a record of 57-50.
