Trader Joe's Falafel May Contain Rocks

Trader Joe's recalls falafels in 35 states due to potential rock contamination. Customers urged to discard or return for refund.

Trader Joe's had a challenging week with multiple product recalls. First, they had to recall two types of cookies due to the potential presence of rocks. Then, insects were found in some of their broccoli cheddar soups. And to top it off, Trader Joe's issued a warning to their customers not to consume their falafels, as they might also contain rocks.

The recall for the falafels is similar to the cookie recall, as Trader Joe's was alerted by their supplier that their "Fully Cooked Falafel" product could potentially contain rocks. This recall affects all Trader Joe's stores in 35 states and Washington D.C. The affected states include Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Vermont, and Wisconsin.

It's important to note that states not mentioned above are not affected by the recall, according to Trader Joe's. The affected stores have already taken action by removing the potentially harmful products from their shelves and ensuring they are properly disposed of.

Unfortunately, Trader Joe's does not provide specific information to identify the frozen falafels that are part of the recall. Instead, they advise customers not to consume any of these products. It is recommended to either discard them or return them to any Trader Joe's store for a full refund. If you have any questions or concerns about the recall, you can contact Trader Joe's Customer Relations at (626) 599-3817, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Pacific Time. Alternatively, you can also reach out to them via email.

It is always crucial for companies to prioritize the safety and well-being of their customers. Trader Joe's swift response to these incidents, including the removal and destruction of the affected products, demonstrates their commitment to ensuring the quality of their offerings. As consumers, it is important for us to stay informed about recalls and take appropriate action to protect ourselves and our families.
