Impressive Performances by Christopher Nkunku and Levi Colwill in Chelsea Half-Time Player Ratings

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Malo Gusto, Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill, Ben Chilwell, Andrey Santos, Conor Gallagher, Carney Chukwuemeka, Raheem Sterling, Christopher Nkunku, and Ian Maatsen all performed well in the match.

Kepa Arrizabalaga demonstrated remarkable composure on the field as he faced an onrushing Danny Welbeck and had little chance to save the eventual goal. However, he made some impressive saves when necessary. Despite this, he received a rating of 6.

Malo Gusto showcased his ability to compete with Kaoru Mitoma, displaying good awareness and pace against Brighton's star player. Unfortunately, he lost out on a header that led to Welbeck's goal. He also received a rating of 6.

Thiago Silva, the Brazilian captain, received much adoration from the supporters and delivered a solid performance as always. He also received a rating of 6.

Levi Colwill, a cool-headed defender, immediately brought new skills to the Chelsea backline with his passing vision and comfort on the ball. Although he would have liked to see his header on target, he provided more evidence of his potential for Mauricio Pochettino's side. He received a rating of 7.

Ben Chilwell, given a more natural high and wide role on this occasion, committed himself well to the position. He continued to be one of the Blues' biggest threats, finding ways to exploit space beyond the opposition's backline. He received a rating of 7.

Andrey Santos, the central midfielder, had another decent outing, showcasing his ability to make strong tackles. He displayed lots of energy in the center and made an important tackle in his own box late in the half. He received a rating of 6.

Conor Gallagher, used at the base of midfield, performed his duties well in keeping the ball moving. However, his performance also highlighted the need for a player like Moises Caicedo. He received a rating of 5.

Carney Chukwuemeka had a much-improved performance, showing more involvement in his role and combining well with Maatsen. He looked to receive the ball in deeper positions and created with more vigor. He received a rating of 6.

Raheem Sterling had his strike saved in the opening half and will be looking to improve. He received a rating of 5.

Christopher Nkunku delivered a lovely and opportunistic strike, bringing his pre-season tally to two goals. He showed cohesion and good movement in the opening period, with Colwill looking to find him from deep. He received a rating of 8.

Ian Maatsen, a former Burnley loanee, had another great half on the left wing. He was tasked with pushing more centrally to add to Chelsea's midfield numbers. He received a rating of 6.
